Fashion and art collided in spectacular form at the 2024 Harlem Fashion Week All White Summer Fashion Soiree, hosted at the chic Aloft Hotel in the heart of Harlem on Saturday, July 6, 2024. A hallmark of creativity and cultural celebration, this year’s event delivered a stunning showcase of innovation, community, and inspiration. Curated by HFW founders Tandra Birkett and her designer daughter Yvonne Jewnell and sponsored by Marriott and Aloft Hotels. The event featured nine up-and-coming designers presenting designs for children, women, and men: Bella Bebe, Monday Blue Studio, Inc., Heavy Hitting Diva, Politically Urban, Poppin' Panties, Beyond Beauty Boutique, I Fly Universe, Up Group, and Earthly Edge.
The fashion showcased a diverse array of styles, including trendy kids' outfits, innovative coffee couture crafted from burlap, sheer clothing, casual leisurewear, form-fitting attire, plus-size ensembles paired with stiletto heels, sophisticated men's loungewear, and bold, colorful designs!

Harlem Fashion Week has always been more than just runway shows and couture pieces. It's about amplifying community voices, celebrating diversity, and paying homage to Harlem's rich cultural history. This year’s event at the Aloft Hotel upheld these traditions while adding a refreshing twist with its summer-focused theme.
The venue itself was an integral part of the experience. Aloft Hotel’s modern design and bold aesthetics provided the perfect backdrop, blending sophistication with a welcoming vibe. The choice of this location further underscored Harlem Fashion Week’s commitment to supporting local spaces and contributing to the area's vibrant economy.
Models strutted with confidence against a backdrop of vibrant music, on the sidewalk of the Aloft Hotel. Passers by can see the show and it certainly caused a stir! The energy was infectious, and it wasn’t just the models on the runway who were exuding confidence. The audience was a diverse mix of fashion enthusiasts, community members, and industry professionals, all coming together to celebrate fashion and Harlem.
One of the highlights of this year’s event was the talented line-up of emerging designers. Each one brought their unique vision and design aesthetic to the runway, creating an eclectic show that kept the audience captivated from start to finish.
Bella Bebe showcased adorable kids' outfits with a trendy edge, featuring bold prints and bright colors. Monday Blue Studio, Inc. presented innovative coffee couture made from burlap sacks that wowed the crowd. And Slay Me Now closed the show with its avant-garde designs, featuring a powerful mix of textures and silhouettes.
Harlem Fashion Week has always been a platform for diversity and inclusion, showcasing designers from various backgrounds and giving a voice to underrepresented communities. This year was no exception, as the runway was graced with models of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities. The variety on display was truly inspiring, representing the diverse beauty that can be found in Harlem and beyond. The show included African prints as well as modern streetwear looks!
